Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Ticket & order details: full name, email address, and phone number, provided when you join a waitlist, reserve, or purchase a ticket.
• Payment information: processed directly by Razorpay, our payment partner. We receive confirmation of payment success/failure and a payment reference — we do not receive or store your full card, UPI, or bank account details.
• Government ID / age verification: for Events that require age verification, door staff may visually check ID at entry. We do not photograph, copy, or store ID documents.
• Usage data: basic page-view analytics (via Google Analytics) and device/browser information, used to understand site traffic.
• Communications: any messages you send us (e.g. support emails).

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your ticket order, issue your QR-code ticket, and verify entry at the door.
• To send transactional emails: order confirmations, tickets, and payment receipts.
• To notify waitlist subscribers about new Events, if you opt in.
• To detect and prevent fraud, duplicate ticket use, and abuse of our reservation system.
• To improve the site and understand aggregate visitor trends.
• To comply with legal obligations (e.g. financial record-keeping).

3. Who we share data with

• Razorpay — to process your payment.
• Our hosting and database providers — to store order, ticket, and account data securely.
• Google Analytics — aggregated, anonymized usage statistics.
• Venue security/door staff, limited to what is needed to verify a valid ticket at entry (ticket status, name, tier).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data retention

We retain order and ticket records for as long as needed for accounting, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes, and to maintain an audit trail of ticket check-ins. You can ask us to delete personal data we hold about you that we are not legally required to retain (see Section 6).

5. Security

Ticket QR tokens are stored encrypted, never in plain text. Access to admin systems is role-restricted and logged. No online system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you by emailing support@housepartysouthgoa.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we are legally required to keep (e.g. completed payment/order records).

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to operate the site (e.g. keeping your reservation session) and analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Children

Our site and Events are not directed at children. Some Events have a minimum age requirement stated on the Event page.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
